I am interested in evolutionary biology.

Currently, I am studying the genetic bases of colour polymorphism in meadow spittlebug Philaenus spumarius as well as its phylogeographic history. This species constitutes a case study in evolutionary biology due to its much studied colour polymorphism and I believe the phylogeographic and genomic data integrated with other studies, constitutes a major contribution to understanding the evolutionary history of the species and will be a starting point to elaborate and test hypothesis on the maintenance of the balanced polymorphism in this and related species.
