The focus is to collect and analyse high informative data of several sources (e.g., morphological, taxonomic, ecological, behavioural and genetic) in selected groups of insects of considerable ecological and adaptive importance (e.g., Hemiptera Cicadomorpha). A main goal is to gain a better understanding of the species roles and strategies coping with new environments (e.g., islands) and changes in the communities where they occur.
